“For a child or an adult, it’s extremely powerful to hear someone say, “I get you. I understand. I see why you feel this way.” This kind of empathy disarms us.”
― Daniel J. Siegel
Parenting can be extremely fulfilling but it also comes with its share of challenges. I understand that sometimes it feels as though those challenges outweighing the positives.I am here to support you in developing useful tools that promote your growth as a parent and build upon your existing strengths.
I work very closely with you while your child is involved in individual therapy. It is my policy that we have an initial session with parents prior to meeting with your child and we continue to meet with you SEPARATELY for consults at the end of each session or on a monthly basis thereafter.
I also provide parent coaching/consulting for caregivers of any kind. I will work with parents, grandparents, stepparents, and any other caregiver in a child’s life. I have also found that it is never too early to learn new skills and that prospective parents and parents with babies can benefit from parent coaching as well!
